Mustachioed tortico cat follows a jogger home from their neighborhood run, dazzling the cat-loving household with her unique markings and chatty meows: 'We weren't panning on getting a second cat, but...'

Kali is not just an average, standard-issue tabby cat; she's a dazzling calico/tortie mix with beautifully blended colors and a purrmanently funny facial expression.

Like those gag glasses with a nose and mustache attached to them, when you see Kali, it's hard not to smile. She melts your heart, she inspires your cat-loving spirit, and if you were the jogger whom she followed home that fateful day, you'd probably be quick to scoop her up to.

Chatty like a Kathy and uniquely beautiful, this mustachioed tortico cat furrever changed the life of an avid recreational runner; all it took was one not-so-stealthy stalking and a barely perceptible meow from the bushes, and this adorable stray found herself a furrever home.

The Cat Distribution System works in mysterious ways.

Although many cat lovers draw the line in the sand and tell themselves they don't need another cat in the house, oftentimes, the CDS has other plans. Knowing their lives better than they do, the CDS knows who needs a catto and when, and trust me, the System does not make meowstakes.

Kali's introduction to her new family was no meowstake, either. After a lifetime on the streets dodging passing cars, avoiding barking dogs, and eating literal garbage, this mustachioed treasure decided that she was far too special for the outdoor hustle. She had seen enough of the stay world and found a hooman worthy of her unique looks and conversation-starting face. All she had to do was bide her time, find the purrfect moment, and strike when the human was at her physical weakest and flooded with workout endorphins.

Post-workout, usually runners will down a protein shake, check their stats on a Garmin watch, or stretch out their fatigued muscles, but instead, on this fatefully determined CDS miracle date, this runner's post-run routine was a little different. Instead, she prepared a new cardboard box as a cat bed, put out some peace-offering kibbles, and welcomed a new best friend into the household.

The tortico cat's outrageous appearance and undeniably adorable purrsonality caught her attention, sure, but the runner's melted heart and happy soul did the rest, giving this cute kitty a new home and a new tabby sibling to play with for the rest of her mustache-clad days.
